about us

Precision Skin is led by a highly qualified registered nurse with over 30 years of extensive medical, surgical and appearance medicine experience.

Founder and Director

Meet Kath Candy RN

Kath founded Precision Skin in 2021 with a simple goal: to help people feel confident in their skin through personalised, evidence-based aesthetic care.

A Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of healthcare experience across New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, Kath brings a depth of clinical knowledge that sets her apart. Her career has spanned surgical nursing, operating theatres, plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, community health, palliative care, education and healthcare leadership.

Before focusing exclusively on aesthetic medicine, Kath spent many years working in surgical environments in Auckland, Melbourne and London, including specialist roles in head and neck and plastic surgery. This experience provided a strong foundation in facial anatomy, patient safety, clinical decision-making and high standards of care.

For more than 10 years, Kath has specialised in aesthetic medicine, combining cosmetic injectables, advanced skin treatments and clinical skincare to help patients achieve natural-looking results. Her approach focuses on long-term skin health, personalised treatment planning and honest, realistic advice.

Committed to ongoing education, research and best practice, Kath maintains the highest standards of safety and patient care. She is a member of the Aesthetic Medical Emergency Team (AMET), supporting evidence-based protocols and clinical excellence within aesthetic medicine.

Known for her warm and approachable manner, Kath is passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients. She works with clients of all ages, from teenagers navigating acne and skin concerns through to mature patients focused on maintaining healthy, resilient skin. Her personalised approach ensures every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, with a focus on achieving natural-looking results and supporting long-term skin health.

Natural Results Are Always the Goal

My philosophy has always been simple:

Subtle changes often create the most beautiful outcomes.

I believe aesthetic treatments should enhance your natural features rather than change them. Whether we are improving skin quality, restoring lost support or softening lines, the aim is for you to look refreshed, rested and confident, not different.

Many of my patients tell me they want to look like themselves, just fresher and more rested. That philosophy sits at the heart of every treatment recommendation I make.

Why Choose Precision Skin?

Personalised Care, Natural Results, Evidence-Based Practice

Why Patients Choose Precision Skin

Choosing aesthetic treatments is about more than selecting a procedure. It’s about finding a someone you trust to understand your concerns, provide honest advice, and create a treatment plan that supports your long-term goals.

At Precision Skin, every treatment recommendation is tailored to the individual. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and no pressure to have treatments you don’t need. My focus is always on achieving natural, balanced results that help you look refreshed, confident and like the best version of yourself.

Precision Skin is an independent nurse-led clinic.

This means treatment recommendations are based on what is right for you, not sales targets, clinic quotas or one-size-fits-all treatment packages. My focus is on creating personalised treatment plans that support healthy skin, natural-looking results and long-term patient satisfaction.

I believe patients deserve honest advice, realistic expectations and treatment recommendations that are tailored to their goals, anatomy, lifestyle and budget.

Unlike larger corporate clinics, you will see the same practitioner throughout your journey, allowing us to build a long-term relationship based on trust, consistency and continuity of care.

As a nurse-led skin clinic in Auckland, my goal is to provide personalised care, evidence-based treatments and long-term support for patients seeking natural-looking results.

Ongoing Education and Clinical Excellence

Aesthetic medicine is constantly evolving, and I believe it is my responsibility to stay at the forefront of industry developments.

I regularly attend local and international conferences, advanced training workshops and educational events to ensure my patients have access to the latest evidence-based techniques and treatment options.

Recent education and conferences have included:

  • FACE Conference, London
  • New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine Conference, Queenstown, Christchurch
  • Aesthetic Business Masters Conference Melbourne
    Non-Surgical Symposium (NSS) Sydney
    Advanced injectable training programs
Skin rejuvenation and regenerative medicine workshops
Skin booster, biostimulator and dermal filler masterclasses
Ongoing clinical education with leading global educators and manufacturers

I strongly believe that learning never stops. Regular training allows me to continually refine my techniques, expand my knowledge and ensure my patients benefit from current best practice, emerging technologies and the latest evidence-based treatment approaches.

By continually updating my knowledge and skills, I am able to offer treatments that align with current best practice while maintaining a strong focus on safety and natural outcomes.

Commitment to Industry Standards

Patient safety, ethical practice and ongoing education are fundamental to everything I do.

I am proud to be a member of the New Zealand Aesthetic Nurses Association (NZANA) and serve on the NZANA Working Group, helping support initiatives that promote safe, ethical and evidence-based aesthetic practice throughout New Zealand.

I am also a member of the Aesthetic Medical Emergency Team (AMET), an organisation dedicated to complication management, patient safety and ongoing professional education for aesthetic practitioners across Australia and New Zealand.

These memberships reflect my commitment to continual learning, professional accountability and delivering the highest possible standard of care to my patients.

As both a clinician and industry contributor, I am passionate about helping elevate standards within aesthetic medicine and supporting safe, ethical outcomes for patients across the profession.
